Building on last year’s success
Following the success of our 2021 regatta and the positive feedback received, we are delighted to be running another two-day competition in 2022.
We are building on the popular model of a divisional format and 4-lane Time Trials that seed crews into 4-lane ABC Finals. This provides the best opportunity for competitive multi-lane racing, where most crews will get two races.
Doubling up is permitted between divisions (at competitors own risk), but not in a single division. Larger entry events will be further broken down into Championship & Plate events, whereby the fastest crews from the entire time-trial race in the Championship AB etc. finals, with the remaining crews going into the Plate event and racing those AB etc. finals in their respective seeded positions. Gold, silver & bronze medals for both the Championship & Plate A-finals will be awarded to recognize achievement.
