Issued: 19:30 20 March 2020

Following the Government announcement about COVID-19 on 16 March, the Trustees have continued to discuss and carefully consider what the appropriate action to take is regarding club activities at the present time. The overriding aim was to keep the club functioning for core rowing activity whilst doing so as safely as possible and within current guidelines.

Following today’s Government announcements by the Government & British Rowing, the Trustees have discussed the matter further & concluded that all activity at PCRC, Thorpe Meadows should cease on a temporary basis with immediate effect.

Please accept that this decision by the Trustees has been taken with a very heavy heart but with nothing more than the health & wellbeing of our membership and the public at large at the forefront of our minds.

What Does This Mean For Members

  • With immediate effect there will be no on water or land training at PCRC, Thorpe Meadows
  • With immediate effect the building will be secured & there will be no access available to the building except at agreed times to collect personal possessions or equipment
  • Members who wish to collect personal effects from PCRC may do so tomorrow (Saturday) between the hours of 09:00 & noon (outside of these hours will be by prior arrangement only, detail to follow)
  • The building will remain closed (under a new lock) until further notice
